School Time with Dena & Luke

Developed and taught by Dena Reynolds, MFA/BFA Dance and Luke Faust, artist, musician, writer.

Together Dena & Luke have experience and background teaching children from toddlers to teens.
They have led and taught classes at the Movement Space for 17 years.  Their style of teaching
has a base in child-centered learning with a focus on learning through dramatic play,
movement and art.

School Time is a Parent/Child Movement and Arts based class for 2-3 year olds.
This class meets once or twice a week for a 2 hour period and is a 30 week program
from September to May.  The class structure will introduce children to their educational
journey acting as a preschool experience.

Class days will draw on creative movement, dance, yoga, dramatic play, music,
storytelling, drawing, painting and sculpture.

The focus of the program is to provide students with a well-rounded experience
and exposure to the arts, while nurturing individual confidence and expression.

  • Students may enroll for the Tues/Thurs group or the Wednesday group.
  • There will be a class limit of 10 families in each group.
  • Adults in the class must be committed to complete focus
    and participation during class time.
  • While it is not required, Movement, Music & Language is a good way to begin classes
with your child and then further you and your child's experience with School Time.
